BOURGAS TUG SERVICE



Bourgas Tug Service (BTS) was founded in March 2002, at the time being
the first privately owned towage company in Bulgaria. Its core operations
consisted of harbour towage and line-handling services in the port of
Bourgas. In November 2005 Multraship Towage & Salvage from the
Netherlands acquired 100% of the company’s shares.

Multraship is a leading independent Dutch
towage and salvage company. Run by the
Muller family, it draws on more than ninety
years of experience. Its core operations
include harbour towage, salvage, wreck
removal, coastal and deep sea towage
and services to the dredging and offshore
industries. It operates and manages a fleet
of thirty-one tugs, salvage vessels, floating
sheerlegs and other craft equipped with
modern towage, salvage and fire-fighting
equipment and manned by experienced and
highly-trained masters and crew.
Multraship firmly believes in the economical
potential of the Black Sea Area, in particular
the Bulgarian and Romanian ports. The
acquisition of Bourgas Tug Service is an
important step in developing its presence
in the Black Sea. The company has been
active in the region since opening offices in
Bulgaria and Romania in 2000.
We believe that our combined expertise,
experience and local assets can bring
substantial benefits to shipowners using the
port of Bourgas.
The permanent presence in the region will
considerably enhance the professional
towage and salvage capacity in an area
with growing shipping and other marine
operations and will therefore contribute
significantly towards the safety of navigation
in the Black Sea.

The Bourgas Tug Service fleet now consists of
seven tugs with powers ranging from 1500 to
4000 Bhp.

Our goal is to expand Bourgas Tug Service
and to strengthen its name as a reliable and
professional Bulgarian company with high
quality and safety standards and a flexible
organisation. Together with the Bourgas and
Bulgarian Maritime Society we want to increase
international awareness of the potential of the
Port of Bourgas and attract new traffic and
investments.
